CDS Vic Reverse vending machine opens in Armstrong Creek
Recycling your containers with Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme has been made even easier for Armstrong Creek residents with the installation of a new CDS Vic reverse vending machine (RVM) at The Village Warralilly Shopping Centre.
This new RVM will provide local residents and visitors along the Bellarine an efficient and rewarding way to recycle their drink bottles, cans and cartons with CDS Vic – rewarding them with a 10c refund for every eligible drink container returned.
TOMRA Cleanaway Chief Executive Officer James Dorney said the launch of the Warralily machine would empower the community to take part in sustainable initiatives.
“Recycling should be simple and accessible for everyone, and this new RVM in Armstrong Creek reflects our commitment to making that a reality. By providing convenient solutions, we hope to inspire more people to embrace recycling and contribute to a cleaner, greener future.
“We’re excited to see the positive impact this machine will have on the Greater Geelong Community.”

Supporting recycling in the CDS Vic West Zone
To date, TOMRA Cleanaway’s West Zone operation has collected more than 827 million containers, putting more than $82.7 million back into the pockets of Victorians.
More than 1,000 charities, community groups and local organisations have registered as CDS Vic donation partners, allowing them to fundraise with CDS Vic via the West Zone app.
By using the CDS Vic West app users can choose to donate their refunds to a nominated donation partner, receive their refunds digitally direct into their back accounts, check containers eligibility and also view the availability of nearby RVMs.
