“By using this return point, in combination with your household recycling, we can all do our part in  reducing litter and landfill, and contribute to a more sustainable future.” – James Dorney | CEO, TOMRA Cleanaway

THE long-awaited Return and Earn reverse vending machine began operation in Narromine on the 27th of June 2023.

The new location will allow residents even greater access and convenience to redeem 10c when recycling their eligible bottles and cans with the opening of a new Return and Earn machine at The Narromine Waste Facility.

Users of the facility can print a voucher for the refund amount, which is then redeemable, or choose a payment into a bank account, or users can donate the refund amount to a charity listed on the Return and Earn app. The vouchers dispensed by the machine can be redeemed at Coles supermarkets.

More than 9.4 billion containers have been returned for recycling through the network of over 600+ return points across NSW.

“By using this return point, in combination with your household recycling, we can all do our part in  reducing litter and landfill and contribute to a more sustainable future,” said James Dorney

Return and Earn has become a key fundraising channel for community groups, schools and charities across NSW. Since launching five years ago, more than $42 million has been raised for charities and community groups via donations and fees from hosting return points. Local recyclers can also donate their refunds to PCYC Dubbo.

Residents are encouraged to download the Return and Earn App onto a smartphone to determine the opening hours of a return point, including container eligibility, and how to collect a refund can be found on the Return and Earn website.

Return and Earn Narromine Waste Facility is at 56 Gainsborough Rd, Narromine NSW 2821. It is open from 7am to 7pm Monday to Sunday.
