Bell Park’s new CDS Vic Depot powers community recycling and fundraising
Following the opening of a new Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme, CDS Vic, depot at 15 Hume Reserve Court, Bell Park, residents now have a faster, easier way to return containers for a refund and raise money for local charities.
The depot, run by West Zone operator TOMRA Cleanaway’s partner Sell & Parker, officially opened recently. Replacing the old Bell Park site, the new depot is fully indoors, spacious, and designed with the community in mind. The highlight? A drive-through service that lets visitors stay in their cars while the friendly team does the heavy lifting. Whether you’re dropping off a few bags from home or a truckload for a fundraiser, the process is quick, efficient, and hassle-free.
TOMRA Cleanaway’s CEO, James Dorney, said of the new Depot’s opening, “Every container returned here is one less ending up in landfill or litter. This Depot has been designed to enable businesses, schools and community groups alike to return large volumes of drink containers for 10c refund per bottle, can or carton.”
The launch event brought together members of the Geelong community, with Councillor Eddy Kontelj highlighting the depot’s role in supporting sustainability and local fundraising. Guests enjoyed coffee, guided tours, and a Welcome to Country, while Luke Parker, CEO of Sell & Parker, praised the drive‑through design that makes recycling quick and convenient.

Residents and community groups can now visit the Bell Park depot during opening hours to transform bottles, cans, and cartons into cash—either for themselves or to support a cause close to home.
Visit the new CDS Vic Depot Bell Park from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, and on Saturday’s from 7:00am to 3:00pm.
