Hoppers Crossing’s new CDS Vic Depot makes recycling and fundraising easier than ever!

Following the opening of a new Victoria’s Container Deposit Scheme, CDS Vic, depot at 59 Elm Park Drive, Hoppers Crossing, residents now have a faster, easier way to return containers for a refund and raise money for local charities.

Operated by West Zone operator TOMRA Cleanaway’s partner Sell & Parker, this new site officially opened in December 2025. The new depot offers a spacious, fully indoor setup with a convenient drive-through, making it the perfect choice for Wyndham residents, schools, clubs, and charities to return bottles, cans, and cartons in bulk.

TOMRA Cleanaway’s CEO, James Dorney, said of the new Depot’s opening, “Every container returned here is one less ending up in landfill or litter. This Depot has been designed to enable businesses, schools and community groups alike to return large volumes of drink containers for 10c refund per bottle, can or carton.”

On opening day, visitors enjoyed complimentary coffee from the on-site coffee cart, a Welcome to Country from Shane Clarke a representative of the Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation, and a visit from Mayor Josh Gilligan and Councillor Larry Zhao, who praised the partnership behind the new depot.

Guests also joined a guided tour and a meet and greet with the depot team, seeing first-hand what happens to containers once they’re dropped off.

Visit the new CDS Vic Depot Hoppers Crossing from 8:00am to 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, and on Saturday’s from 7:00am to 3:00pm.
