Great news for Cowra residents! Recycling your bottles, cans, and cartons just got easier with the opening of a brand-new Return and Earn machine at Z Power Cowra.
Located at 120 Taragala Street, Cowra, this new Return and Earn machine is open daily from 7:00 am to 10:00 pm, making it simple to fit recycling into your everyday routine. It’s the second return point in the Cowra region, giving locals even more choice and convenience when returning eligible drink containers for their 10-cent refund.

Cowra Shire Council residents are already enthusiastic recyclers, having returned over 40 million containers through our network for Return and Earn since the scheme began. Statewide, the Return and Earn network has grown to over 660 return points, helping communities across NSW recycle more than 14.6 billion drink containers and putting $1.4 billion back into people’s pockets.
Technology for Easy Recycling
The new Z Power Cowra Return and Earn machine provides flexible refund options:
- Print a voucher to redeem for money off your shop at Coles or cash.
- Choose an e-voucher
- Direct payment to your bank or PayPal via the Return and Earn app.
- Or donate your refund to one of over 400 charities listed on the app, including Little Wings and or Guide Dogs NSW/ACT.
