TOMRA Cleanaway is proud to celebrate eight years since the partnership that established its role as a leader in container deposit schemes and resource recovery in Australia. This milestone marks not only a history of environmental impact but also a future focused on inclusivity and reconciliation.
As part of the celebration, TOMRA Cleanaway launched its Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) across all of their Australian operations in NSW, Victoria and Tasmania. The launch of the Innovate RAP is a significant step forward in TOMRA Cleanaway’s commitment to building respectful relationships, increasing cultural understanding, and creating tangible opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the communities it operates.
Building on the success of its inaugural Reflect RAP, TOMRA Cleanaway’s Innovate RAP moves beyond reflection into meaningful, measurable action across four key pillars as recommended by Reconciliation Australia:

The development of the Innovate RAP has been driven by TOMRA Cleanaway’s dedicated and passionate Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group, whose leadership ensures that every commitment is community-informed, regionally relevant, and aligned with the organisation’s core values. The RAP Working Group’s activities has been instrumental in shaping actions that are authentic, achievable, and impactful.
